I just got this delivered today, and it's really a terrific overdrive/distortion pedal. Nails that ZZ Top grind, and it just sings. Overtones and harmonics jump out, it's very 'alive' sounding. Plus it's very controllable with the guitar volume, in fact they say it's designed with that in mind. Roll back for nice semi-dirty rhythm and crank it up for a snarly lead tone. I really dig it. It's a simple design with Volume, Gain, and Tone controls. 9 volts, no battery but that's cool with me. The Tone control is really useful, even at extreme settings. It does more than just cut treble, it seems to lighten the bass as you turn it clockwise, and it gets fatter as you turn it down. Very cool, check it out if you love the early '70s ZZ type sound. Think "Cheap Sunglasses" or "Tush" and that's the sound. It rocks!

Just got mine as well and agree with all of the above. The one thing that sets it apart for me is the low end. There’s an abundance of it and that’s a good thing, totally the opposite of the 808 types. Also, gobs of gain on tap, easily my favorite pedal. They really knocked it out as far as I’m concerned. I bet it would be heavenly with the new Z-28 MKII.

I am close to pulling the trigger on one of these. I am hoping it stacks good with my fuzz pedals And also that it’s voiced like a Marshall or at least close to it. I have a BE overdrive and it’s just not really cutting it for me. It’s not bad but it’s too hard to dial in sometimes. I tried the dirty Shirley and didn’t like that at all.
