Mark, that sounds great. How do you record this with the backing tracks? It comes in stereo and perfectly mixed with the track on my computer. Thanks.

I play the backing track through my monitors and then jam along to it while recording it in Studio One. I record two channels on the guitar and pan them hard right and left in post. Then add a little compression and some eq...all just factory presets to be honest. I don't know a hell of a lot about it...just enough to dial it in. haha. Once I get the mix right, I sync it up to the video and that's it.

Well, here we are again and thing is Mark, it just never gets old. Never. Tone for days at reasonable volume and so, so tasteful!
Everybody has a favorite “Z” sound I suppose but I’ve never been able to get much past that Tele-into-a-Jr. thing. Actually I don’t really want to get past it. And you do it really well.

So I see a mic on the Maz, and you’re playing the backing track on monitors and then recording the whole thing or is some of it going into a laptop? Sorry I sound so inexperienced, it’s because I am! Thanks.

Smooooth Mark, the right notes at the right time, no unnecessary fills! That Maz sounds great, are you still using my old gold? If so I shoulda never let it go. Cheers, Jim

Thanks. Jim, yes that's the Gold in there...such a great sounding speaker!! I love it!! Todd, yeah man, it all goes into a PC, here's how I do it... I start with Loading the backing track into my recording software. The amp is mic'd and runs to my interface which is a Presonus Audiobox iTwo. I turn my monitors up as loud as I dare and then play along to the track while recording the video part with my phone. I then take the recorded track and play around a bit with some eq and a tiny bit of compression to boost the guitar in the mix a little. Once I am happy with it, I mix it down to one track that I can sync up to the video when I put that together. I totally take out the audio that gets recorded on the phone and replace it with the recording I made in Studio One. I use Presonus Studio One Artist for recording my audio and then use Magix Movie Edit Pro for the video stuff. I hope that makes sense...it's easier to show someone than explain it haha!! Thanks again for the kind words, fellas!

Well, it sure sounds great with awesome stereo separation. Nice work, and playing. LOVE the slow blues you did on the El Hombre demo.
