I have it and love it! I haven't been able to crank my amp with the pedal in front...just playing at low volumes and it sounds great in front of my Maz jr. Plays well with both single coils and buckers. I am not all that great at reviews but it's been one of my most favorite OD's to date...very smooth, cleans up well with volume roll off. A very versatile box.

It's a good, fat sounding drive. I haven't gigged it yet, the volume seems like it comes on pretty fast and a little goes a long way down around 9:00-11:00. But I was just playing it and I like it, it's "Bite" control is cool. You get more highs without losing the lows and vice versa. It is smooth, and I'm torn between using it or the Neo Instruments "Drive In" OD. I've got a solo in Chuck Mangione's "Children of Sanchez" and it calls for a smooth but very present overdrive. Right now I like the Drive In a little better for the pick attack, but the difference is subtle.

You should also check out the Missing Link Audio “Eliminator” pedal. Was released early summer and had a several week build time for the past few months. Now it is apparently down to 7-10 days. I got mine shortly after release I highly recommend it if you want those ZZ Top / Gibbons fuzzy drive tones. I’m using mine with a Maz 18 MkII and a Les Paul Std 50’s. Nice build quality and tone and sustain are superb! Their HOTLANTA (Duane Allman Fillmore East tone) is another excellent offering if you like that tone as well. You can check them out at mlapedals.com where they have some video demos which I found helpful.

Funny you should mention that, I've got one on the way. It sounds really good in the clips. Really good.

I’ve received mine. I’ll give it a try by this weekend. The YT demos look good.

Here's a super low volume jam with my tele into the El Hombre...pedal was vol 9, gain 3 and tone noon...I also did some post processing but you get the idea...it's a really great pedal...one of the best ones yet.

Almost has a Quicksilver Messenger Service vibe around the 1:25 spot! Sounds nice Mark, sweet example of the pedal. I bought my J Rockett stuff after seeing demos by Shawn Tubbs, Mark Lattierie(sp?) and Lance Keltner. 3 different players & styles but it’s a fair enough review to see what the pedal is capable of with different amps & guitars.

I love the demos of both it and the Hombre. May have to spring for one of each.

The El Hombre seems pretty realistic. I messed around with mine some today and yesterday. They did a good job with this. My modus operandi is to do an ABY switch between clean and dirty amps (or combine.)
I liked the way the pedal worked with humbuckers more than single coils but I didn’t take a lot of time to mess with it. It does clean up well for a dirt pedal with reduced volume. It was also pretty quick to find a good sound, tweak the volume and go.
