So, it's income tax return time. I felt the need for another Dr. Z amp. I loved my Wreck Jr., but wanted something different. After asking around I landed on the CAZ 45. It arrived yesterday, so far it's an amazing amp. With the exception of the Wreck Jr. all my other amp are huge clean machines. The CAZ is a completely new experience. I can dial in a Fenderish clean to edge of breakup tone no problem. It's gonna take me a bit to learn the controls and dial in a highgain tone I like. The only small small gripe I have is my sensitivity control has a few rough spots through it's range of travel. The sound isn't affected, just not a smooth travel. All around and solid amp that has so many voices.

Glad you dig the CAZ. You are right it will take some time to learn the Three unique controls ( i.e. Sensitivity , Aggression, And Level ). As for the issue with the Sensitivity Control, I believe it is the Grey Chicken Head knob. The pot is a 500K CTS solid shaft type with a larger 1/2" nut, the knob has a metal insert that the set screw is attached to. If you say turn the knob to 9:00 then loosen the set screw on the knob, and ever so slightly move the knob back just a touch. Then retighten the set screw. This will take a bit of skill with the chassis still in the cab. But I feel it's the knobs metal insert rubbing against the pots nut at different points in its rotation.

It's a brilliant amp. Might be favorite of all time. It kills in a band setting.

Thanks, I'll give that a try this weekend. One other bad thing about this amp, so many voices my other amps will be neglected. Glad you dig the CAZ.
