Longtime Ghia and Cure player here. I came across this video the other day and was wondering if this is indicative of the Jetta's more aggressive sound: I play the Cure a few times a week in church but have been looking for something louder for outdoor events. Would it be easy to transition my board set up for my Cure over to the Jetta? Also, head or combo? I've got a 1x12 Z convertible (with a cannabis rex) that I currently run w/ my Cure at church. board pics cause I love looking at other boards

I have both in combo form. They are totally different sounding.
This is all just my opinion:
The Cure has more character as it imparts more of its "own sound." I like to set it up doing the blackface thing. It works well with boards and many different guitars as you know.
The Jetta on the other hand is just a straight up, full frequency, high headroom, BEAST. It's more (and I really hate to use this word) "transparent." Everything you put in will sound drastically different, guitars and pedals. As a pure pedal platform, I'd take the Jetta over the Cure based on it's ability to cleanly reproduce what's going into it. Don't for one second mistake this as sterile sounding. It can have it's own character too, and it's a pretty unique character at that. Crank the Tone and give the Volume a little love, and you can jam straight in allllll day. I really love the Jetta's versatility in this way. Plus, it's got LOADS of volume on tap if you need it, but still sounds good at a reasonable level with or without pedals.
No pedals, take the Cure for it's character. Loads of drives and effects, take the Jetta for it's hi-fi qualities and headroom.
But you can't pick a favorite.... Like what's the best? A Strat or a Tele? They are both amazing and you need the both.
That's a nice board too! Here's what you gotta do: Get the Jetta, get a Radial Twin City, split your signal chain after your drive send to the Cure, then hit the wet effects and send to the Jetta. You're welcome! HAHAHAHA
Get the Jetta for sure! It's amazing!

Jetta, cable and guitar, rock! Pedals rarely used…..analog delay used more as a reverb to sweet n, and Trem/pedal

Ha! I was just thinking about running a wet/dry with those two. I can easily overpower everyone at church with just the Cure though.
When I used to play in a loud rock band, the Ghia barely kept up hence why I’m eyeing the higher wattage offerings now. I know at 30w the Jetta would hang with everything but metal. I’m kinda partial to the head so I could use a 4x12 or z-best if needed.
Hearing the guy in the above video running the Jetta wide open it just sounds so, so good. Wondering if anyone here run theirs with a 4x12 or Z-best?

The great thing about those two amps is they sound good at low volumes as well. So wet dry in a lower volume environment still sounds pretty good. And you get a huge full sound.

I have 2 Jettas and have used them in stereo and wet-dry. sounded good, but found it wasn't really necessary - the master volume and the loop sound great so there's no need to fuss with an elaborate setup. it's pretty simple now: 1 Jetta w the gain up and the master wherever it needs to be (>10 is loud), some gain pedals up front to push, and a couple time-based pedals in the loop.
