I have a pedal that requires the traditional wall wart power supply, but the power supply plugs into the SIDE of the pedal, not the top. This means I have to have a considerable distance between another pedal. (I need to unplug both pedals every gig) I want to purchase a right angle adapter, but I'm not sure of the size. All guitar effects seem to use the same universal plug, but I don't know what it is.
Will this work?

It really depends on the pedal. Many/most pedals take the 5.5mm adapter - but you need to confirm polarity (I think most are center positive) in case the pedal you have is reverse polarity.

Take a look at this link it's from the Godlyke site but should work for other brands as well.

Yes that will work. The "standard" barrel connector for 9v pedals is 5.5mm O.D. and 2.1mm I.D. and center NEGATIVE. Those adapters won't change polarity so no need to be concerned about that.
