Thinking about pulling the trigger on a Combo. I’d much rather have a head. Can you make a head from a Z Wreck 1X12 Combo? Thanks in advance.

Why not just buy the head, Bill? Did you have something in mind with the combo?

This won't be helpful, but I'm going to guess "yes". I was scratching my head 'why not?', took a look, and realized the knobs are on top. Interesting! I'm still betting that the chassis is 'sitting' on that back panel sideways, and that it might actually be easier to convert that type of combo vs a standard combo since the controls won't be upside down. I'll be curious to see the educated intelligent responses.

Sure, I changed a Z-Wreck head into a combo. You need to get a new faceplate from the shop, because it's upside down from where you need it to be. The hardest part was the indicator lamp assembly, and turning the switches over 180 degrees. It's just time consuming, not all that difficult.

I had a head, found an empty combo cab on my local Marketplace and converted to the 1x12 combo.
The only down side, the faceplate was upside down (compared to other combo's)... Not a big deal on a combo though. Not sure if it's reversable, like the other Z's or not?
I know that there are some cab makers that make 3rd party combo and head cabs for the Z-Wreck. You may also luck out and find one in the BS&T section?
