I thought I would try a couple of new pedals. I like the Tumnus as well as the Pinnacle by Wampler, so a combo pedal that was that included both pedals caught my attention. I have a Gearbox by Wampler on the way.
I have been having a Love/Hate with a King of Tone. It's a cool tone for bluesy stuff, but I feel like I like to be just above middle with regard to the tone. I keep trying, and one day I'll 'Get It', but it's a big pedal that doesn't seem as versatile as others. My gosh, the pricing of the used KOT's is ridiculous, $750 to $2K. I think I paid $475 for mine, I have it on a Nano blues pedal board, maybe one day it will click for me. I'll keep the equity building and keep it around.
I picked up a new Dispatch Master by EQD. I liked it because it seemed very simple, and you could get a very mild ambient drone. It has turned out to be a very nice touch or Reverb and Delay. That one is a keeper.

I hear ya Brian on the KOT. It took me burning through 2 of them until I finally found how I like it. It's definitely worth keeping just for the accelerating prices.

I agree with you on the KOT, I never bonded with it for my ideal sound.
I've had the Dispatch Master on my board for while. That's a great pedal.

I don't have any experience with a KOT but I had an original Bluesbreaker for several years. I believe they are supposed to be similar and this is my take for what it is worth. I liked the BB with my Blackface Fender amps, a lot in fact. It was one of those combinations that just sounded like the pedal was made for that amp. Maybe it was. On the other hand I did not care for it nearly as much into any other type of amp.

I agree with the King of Tone as well I have had several. I think it's over rated.

I should be coming up on the wait list for the KOT sometime this year. Probably later than sooner!
