I've been fortunate to get a great Strat a few weeks ago and have been plugging it into various amps. I remembered the Peach guitar CAZ demo and Adam's video of a Strat through the CAZ and decided to see what I could make it do.
I'm very happy with the results. I have both the Sensitivity and Gain at noon. This gives a good bit of gain, even to a Strat. On the bridge pick, which has a tone control, I can roll it back to 8 and move to more of a 70s gain. Great for Tom Petty, Jackson Browne, and perhaps some Billy Squire stuff. The Strat tone is down around 7 and that really removes some of that high end on the bridge.
On the neck pick up, lowering the guitar volume to around 7 really cleans the drive up. This puts it into slightly overdriven blues territory. If I turn the neck pickup tone down to about 5, and the guitar volume about 8ish, you can really get some modern day Sunshine of your Love (Clapton's modern sound). Also, turn the volume back up, and there's great FAT neck tone that might rival a P90.
In position two, (bridge and middle), and the volume down to about 7 on the guitar, I can really get some of the 24 Nights version of Wonderful Tonight with a little chorus in the loop.
I've been amazed what it can do with a Strat.

Yeah, Russell, the gain and sensitivity controls really allow tailoring this amp to the guitar and, as importantly, what the "clean to mean" range is from working one's volume control. I'd have to say this is currently my favorite Z amp.
