Dear friends I have wonderful Dr Z's Stangray and Z Wreck Jr heads. How does Route 66 compares to their sound? Will it be good companion or duplication? Blues and Blues Rock music. Thank you very much in advance

The Route 66 will sound VERY different from the StangRay and the Z-Wreck Jr. Those amps have "jangle" and "crunch;" the Route 66 will have a thick, bluesy punch in the gut. You really would not be duplicating much sonic territory.

Thank you so much Mark! This really helps. I was also thinking the same way based on word description. But a few sound demos that I can find around, were not that clear to me. Really appreciate your answer

Definitely the Route 66 and its big bottle KT66’s will sound very different to the EL84 based Stangray and Zwreck Jr. and for Blues / Blues Rock the Route 66 will certainly shine!

DC here!
To me the Route66 also works great with my Warmoth Tele. Good spanky sound balanced up with that middle character..
My Z-Wreck combo is much more and AC thirty on steroids
Cheers: Dixiechicken!
