Got my Jetta yesterday. This thing is amazing. With my 89 American Standard Stratocaster with Lace sensors is is phenomenal with the master railed, volume at 9 o’clock and any tone setting. My 88 Turbo Rat and 94 Boss SD-1 Overdrive give me tons of range for OD and distortion. I have a junk chorus I threw in the loop and it promptly suck the tone out HARD. I’m looking for the usual trinity of holy grail of pedals (Reverb, Chorus, Delay). Must Sound great. Don’t bleed tone. Aren’t super expensive. (Yeah, right lol).
Any recommendations?

Save up for another, it's inevitable. Congratulations on the new amp

I ordered a Keeley Caverns for my modulation in the effects loop. I’m hoping it sounds as good there as it does on all the demos.

Blessings back at you J!
I wound up with a Keeley Caverns for modulation.
I also lucked into a Danelectro The Breakup drive.
Waiting on both.

The Jetta is a great amp. I got my to use at church, but have found I use it a lot more than I thought I would. It's got a lot of power and great tone for a grab and go amp.
Welcome to the forum and congrats! Roger

Thanks Roger! Now I am working on how to put together a diverse pedal collection to allow lots of different music types.

Danelectro is going to go up for sale.
Feels like it tone sucks a bit when activated.
I need to find a good compressor next.

Just added a Fulltone Full Drive 2 and it is sublime into the Jetta just breaking up. With MOSFET on and CompCut with boost.

I’d love to know why people are stacking in their gain Stages. So far I hate my old SD-1 for the most part. Turbo Rat can deliver some serious distortion. Fulltone FD2 MOSFET is absolutely delicious. I’m thinking maybe a boost for the “more” moments. Any suggestions?

I've been using my Jetta mostly for church band. But will also use it with my original band from time to time.
My church pedal board I use: Timmy > Barder 1/2 Gainer > RYRA Klone. I keep the Timmy and Klone pedals on all the time. I use the 1/2 Gainer for heavier parts.
My original band pedal board I use: Kingsley Harlot > RYRA Klone.
The Harlot is the best overdrive I've ever used. I've been through a bunch of them over the years.

Awesome! Thank you for the info! I have a Vertex STeel String MKII coming soon to put before the FD2. Also came across a Boss MD-500 for a price that was a steal. We shall see how the clean drive feeds the Fulltone. I’m betting it will be pretty nice. Shall see!

I watched a guy in Sweetwater demo a pedalboard and it was all through the amp and sounded amazing. So far I am not sure what I think of effects loop.

I watched a guy in Sweetwater demo a pedalboard and it was all through the amp and sounded amazing. So far I am not sure what I think of effects loop. Personally, I wouldn't get too hung on something in the loop unless the amp is crazy distorted. 1. Always very much preferred the sound of modulation pedals before gain pedals or amp. 2. Delay in front of the amp was really the only way it was done in the old days where those tape echos became famous. It does that ducking thing which later was incorporated into a lot of expensive rack gear to simulate the same idea, but those are always super persnickety when trying to set. There's something organic and dynamic with a delay in front of the amp, it's just more alive and less stagnant. 3. Another 40' of cable (or more) to create noise and just potentially screw things up, and it's a hassle. Rack effects really make more sense here anyway, but nobody seems to make those anymore. There's pros and cons to everything, and just exploring things is a big part of the fun. I'd say try to find what works for you. Eric Johnson (sort of the king of delay) has them in front of the amp. Scott Henderson uses a Suhr line out thing which takes a signal from the speaker out, runs it into an old cheap rack effect, and that goes to another cheap amp like a fender blues deluxe. I think he has a few patches that he switches by hand (effect on the amp), and a pedal with a knob which sets the level of the effect. Maybe look at the cool sounds Tommy Bolan got with the Echoplex on a stand and he'd control it with his hands. I think Page had them on the amps too for the same purpose. As for chorus pedals, I think it's hard to go wrong with the boss CE-1W. Congrats on the amp!

Thank you both! That is exactly what I needed. I’m going to wire up straight in the front.
Now I have to figure out what to get with my Amazon credit.
Nobels OD-1? MXR Timmy??
EDIT. I’m feeling the OCD. I hate pedals made in China. Fulltone is going to make me a junky at this rate.

After saying all that I ordered the Earthquaker Plumes. $30 cheaper and pretty fantastic when PGS/Reverb Andy demos. It has a mode that is close to the Boss SD-1 so I can pull that old pedal off.

So true! Frankly it is overwhelming in ways! So much to choose from. I’m guessing I have many more changes coming too. I’ll probably come back to the OCD idea since I don’t have a Marshall sound yet and the Plumes makes 2 TS style pedals on the board. Ordered a Steel String Supreme. Boy has that pedal maker generated some hate online! Hopefully the pedal is good tho.
