Hey, this may have been discussed before, but yesterday when running my delay and reverb through the loop, and boost/OD through the front, my volume was severely reduced. Since I was at church and about to do our run thru, I had to rewire the board and go direct into front. Sounded great. Just prior at home, earlier in week, no issues with volume or tone.
Back at home after church, i again connected to loop, and there was ZERO sound. So I pulled out Deoxit with some of those gun barrel cleaners, and swabbed the inside, then followed by spraying the jack and ran it in and out several times on both jacks. Plugged it all back up and voila, it worked again.
SO my question.... was it just some oxidation causing the sound issue? Cables are fine as I tested each. And tube wise, going in front sounds great.
any thoughts?

Yes. Oxidation is the likely culprit. Always a good idea to clean the jacks, just as you did. That reminds me I need to do that here soon too.
