Hey! I'm looking for a small reverb pedal that is not too spendy. I had looked at Hall of Fame, but I seem to keep coming back to the MXR reverb. It seems warmer (it is analogue) and more in keeping with my fairly basic needs. Anyone out there using it and have any opinions or info?

I have a hof, no mxr, so can't really help. But maybe something else to ponder...
When you turn something on, or put it in line, does it really make my guitar sound better? And keep in mind that louder, even it's 1/10db, will make you think it sounds better, every single time. If you approach things with that angle, it makes it simple and takes out whatever emotional connection you might have to something. I read that somewhere and it's served me pretty well.

I don't have the MXR, but I've also heard good things about them. I've had HOF Minis and they are cool with that Tone Print feature. Note that I said "had". I will say that I've never really been a 'verb guy though, having cut my teeth on 4 input Marshalls.
If you get the MXR I'd be very interested in hearing your review.

I use the MXR Reverb - works great for me. I like its straightforward controls with 3 knobs - personally I am not a fan of fiddling with apps like the HOF's TonePrint. I mostly use rather subtle "Spring" or "Plate" reverb settings, and these sound pretty good to my ears. Box/construction is very robust.

Most of the time, just using some plate or spring will be fine. In a loud band, its not so noticeable. The spring reverb on my Maz works just fine as is, but there are times when I'm doing quieter, jazzy/ambient stuff, that having some of the other settings, or a bigger reverb wash, would be perfect. Straightforward controls is a good point. Onstage, there's no time to fiddle around with a lot of parameters.
