I don’t know, I thought about a KT45 or M12, but the RT66 and the Z28 just do it for me. Never hurts to have another right?

The “more the merrier” rule seems appropriate here.

One more? Sure, why not? Z-28 is a great amp. And, everyone should have some one in the collection at least once … Cheers always Joel

…. on a side note, I’ve often considered running a pair of 28s since I got my first Z amp in 2005 ….. time to make it happen?
Cheers always

Cheers always Joel I have a pair of them now, and I was very happy when the second one showed up and sounded just as good as the first one. I did however move my second RT66 to a friend that has wanted one since they came out. He's tickled and i'm happy so its a win/win.

Most likely going with the V Type Speaker.

I added a Magnatone 440 and it sounds amazing, I also added a 75 50 watt JMP that's sounds great, but I came back to my Z28 today and it did not disappoint. LOVE that amp.

Heading out for a small jam session today. Loaded the Z28 head, small pedalboard and my Mathers 1x12 loaded with a Red Fang.

What I like about the Z28 is you can pretty much cover just about anything in the Roots, Rock N Roll, Pop, Country, Country Rock kind of veins. I keep multiple cabinets and speakers laying around to take myself in different directions.

Yeah that’s a great idea to use it with different cabs. I just bought a Z-28 1x12 blonde combo and it came with a greenback. It sounded great, but I just swapped the greenback for a tone tubby purple haze and it is so sweet. I’m loving it so far.

I just haven't found the right Z 2x12 yet, but I will. My favorite speakers with the Z28 have been the Greenback, Tone Tubby 40/40, Red Fang, and daring, I need to get another Celestion 1265.

I tried the alnico cream and it was really good but eventually went back to the greenback. I think the greenback just works with the type of music I play better.

I’m not a fan of the Creamback, but I do like the 1265. I pulled a Creamback and sold it to the others guitar player and he loved it and put it in his gigging amp. I swapped in a 1265 and our tones were complimentary of each other.

Never tried the creamback with the Z-28. I still think the Doc knows what hes doing the Greenback to me is perfect with the Z-28.

I ended up putting the Celestion V Type in it last night and that really hit the spot. My main tele and SG Jr pretty bright so all the combination end up at a damn good tone. I think the whole package turned out damn good, but I think gold piping would look even better.

I'm seriously thinking of at least trying the Celestion A Type. I do really love a lot of those pre Marshall rock n rock tones. Another reason to try a Galaxie or Nova.
This Z28 set up on the Studio Cab is as close to my ultimate rig as it gets. Grab and go, takes great pedal with ease. I have a little board set up with a Sexdrive, Zendrive, Timmy, Lovepedal Gen5 for slap and a Topanga Reverb pedal. I still need to add a tremolo pedal, but i'm still auditioning pedals.
