Any advice on re-tubing my Remedy? Not wanting to change the tone in any way from what it came with from the factory. Thoughts?

If you like the way it sounds, leave the preamp tubes be and only change the power tubes and maybe the phase inverter. For the phase inverter, listen to the old one and then put in the new one and see if things get better. If not, put the old one back in. If you can't help yourself and must try to change the other preamp tubes, do the same as the phase inverter, listen, put in a new one one at a time and see if you like it better. Preamp tubes generally last a really really long time. Sometimes you get a magic combination of them. If you change them all out at once and it goes south on you (do folks from the south say, go north on you?)you won't know which of the tube changes did it.

To preserve the tone Doc created, why not just retube with what Doc recommends?
Remedy V1: JJ ECC83S, V2: JJ ECC83S, V3: Tung Sol 12AX7, V4-7: JJ 6V6 (matched quad)
Recommended Bias Point: Cathode Biased (no re-biasing necessary)

I'd also maybe add that if you like the way it sounds now, just leave it. Most of the time when I mess with that stuff thinking I can make something better, it was better before I started messing with it. Kind of like "I spent $100 on that preamp tube, it HAS to sound better". But maybe it doesn't. I like Marc's suggestion though.

Thanks for the suggestions. I probably need to think this through. I've been using the Remedy for around 5 years (same tubes). It always sounded consistent, but the last few gigs I thought the tone was changing. To be honest it may be my ears changing. (hearing loss) Asking around, I'm told it sounds great. So maybe it's just me. If I do decide to retube, I can get the original tube line up from Dr. Z, correct?

I’ve bought Dr Z retube kits from The Tube Store before with great results. There are other excellent vendors and some good Z brothers that sell as well. Just a reference: www.thetubestore.com/remedy-dr-z-package
