I found a box of tubes and looked through it and I have some tubes that I'm not familiar with...can anyone give me any info on these? Sound qualities, good? Great? Durability?
TESLA EF806S TUNGSRAM EF86
EL84 LOGO is Ei in a circle...and says yugoslavia RFT EL84

The EF86 is for toasters. You don't need it unless you have an antique toaster or waffle iron. You should send it here.

The Ei EL84 tubes are great sounding but prone to microphonics. They're the European equivalent of the 6BQ5.

I still have some EI branded tubes from a bunch I bought about 25 years ago. I found I liked their ECC83 (same as a 12AX7) in Marshall/Bassman type amps but not so much in high-gain versions. I liked the EL84s also.

Tesla was the precursor to JJ. I probably like Tesla a little better than JJ. Some of their tubes are a little dark, but with flavorful character.
Tungsgram tubes are a good value in the NOS world. I’ve had some bright ones and darker ones.
I am a huge fan of Ei tubes, but the caveats above apply. They made some of the best and worst tubes in the modern era. I never managed to get one of their EF86s, but I’ve used lots of their ECC83s and EL84s.
