Two weeks ago i nailed a Z master, which i am in love with. This past week i ordered a Wreck jr combo from the boys at Midwood music studio in CNC.
So, I hear all the clips and thats what clealry drew me in. I have a nice quiver of amps but nothing on the Vox side of town.
What should i expect from the Z wreck jr that maybe im not hearing on the edits??
Also, I have to give a shout out do Dr Z for his longevity of excellence. Its not easy to stay close to or near the top for as long as he has. He is the Alabama crimson tide of amp makers.
He is also the creator of the Cleveland sound.
There are American amps (Fender) British (Marshall. VOX, Hi watt to a degree) Then there is the "Cleveland " sound which belongs to the good Doctor. He has earned his the right to be mentioned with these brands and to have his own sound classification.
Cheers>

I haven’t played a Z Wreck Jr but have played a regular Z. Wreck for years. The videos are all good but there is a little something extra you hear and feel by hearing the amp in person. They are very touch sensitive and you can vary the amount of dirt by simply changing your attack or by using the guitar volume knob. That is hard to show in a video. Plug straight in and you will soon see the magic of this design. Enjoy!

I like the Cleveland Sound category, good idea. That is a fitting name for the Maz and Maz-derived, and to an extent, the Ghia amp lines. And much easier on the tongue than “a mix of Marshall meets Vox meets Fender”.

I’ve only had a few minutes with the ZWJR but it’s the meanest Vox you’ll hear. It rocks hard. Some may call it more marshally but it’s definitely Vox, just warmer (to my ear).
