Just got one of these pedals and have to say it is a nice pedal. I had been looking for a reverb pedal of some sort and stumbled onto this. Nice having trem and reverb in one pedal. I was bummed when I first put it on my board as it just flashed both on off switches and would not turn on etc. I thought I had a lemon. Called the company and a nice gal answered the phone and I told her my problem. She told me the pedal was not getting sufficient power. Pulled out the included adapter and it would not fit into the hole for the plug in on my board. I have a pedal power 2 plus mounted on the bottom of my board. I had forgotten that there are two outputs on the pedal power that are for digital effects, they have more milliamps. Connected the flint up to one of those jacks and viola it started working. It has been a while since I have used my pedalboard. Great pedal IMO.

Yeah I love mine too.
It’s one of those few pedals though that pretty much just wants to use it’s own adapter.

I'm using one in the loop of my Cure. I like it a lot- it kinda "completes" the amp. I've used in it front of my tweed CHamp clone at a small guitar and vocals only jam and it was good for that, too. Oddly, I don't like it as much in the loop of my Nova- the reverb gets a little harsh.

Stop it, stop it, stop it! Man, I need to get one of these... I like my Catalinbread Talisman reverb, but a good reverb/trem pedal is what I really need.

My Flint is currently in the CAZ-45 loop: Slow harmonic trem and a touch of 'verb. And easy to turn off if one wants to go really high gain on the CAZ.

I had one and sold it. Kinda wish I'd-a kept it. It's a very good sounding, and relatively simple , pedal.

I had one but couldn't bond with it. It had a mettalic ping that drove me nuts. I don't know if it was picking something up from another pedal or what but I just couldn't make it work for me.

I have one and I think it's great, particularly in an effects loop. It definitely is a power hog and best plugged in separately with its own adapter.

Y'all are killing me. I've heard nothing but great things about this pedal. I need to get one. For you who have it, how is it in front of an overdriven amp?

I've had one for about 10 years and it has rarely been off my board.

I've been eyeballing a Flint for a while now, for both its tremolo AND reverb. I need to pull the trigger already.
Actually, it would go onto what I'd consider to be a compact "ultimate 'loop' board," consisting of: modded Boss GE-7 (EQ) >> Boss DD-200 (Delay) >> Strymon Flint (Reverb & Tremolo)

I love the Flint. It’s just missing one feature that, to me, needs to be added. I used a Diamond Tremolo for years. That pedal allowed you to hold the tap switch for about a second to quickly double the tempo. I used this feature a LOT.
It seems like this would be an easy add for Strymon. Then it would be perfect imho.

So, it'll do it, but... you've gotta go that add-on tap pedal route, which gets more complicated/crowded.

Understood. I know you can (and I do) use an external tap, but I’m talking about being able to hold the tap switch for a second to double the tempo. That gives a much quicker tremolo effect. Faster than I can tap lol
