Anybody here who has experience with these tubes? Specifically if they would perform well enough to be used as a reverb driver in the z-lux. They aren't NOS but then again they aren't regular new production 12at7's either so i wonder.

I'm not familiar with Tung Sol 6201 tubes. I've been using NOS JAN 12AT7 tubes for reverb drivers for years. Sound good and apparently indestructible. Price is slightly higher than new production 12AT7's and lower than a Tung Sol 6201 (from thetubestore.com website).
I don't know what advantage a 6201 would offer in a slot designed for a 12AT7. The reverb driver has very little effect on the tone of the amp.
Without a schematic of the Z-Lux, I don't know if Doc would use the triodes of a single tube (12AX7) as driver and reverb recovery. That's a cheap move that I wouldn't expect in a Z amp - I had such an amp and the reverb was miserable.

The Z-lux uses a 6201 as a reverb driver and a 12ax7 for reverb recovery.
The 6201 is just a more rugged version of a 12at7, just like the 12at7wa, b or c. So a NOS 12at7wc would be the same thing as a NOS 6201.
What i'm wondering about is if tung sol is actually producing a high quality tube here or just slapping 6201 on a regular 12at7.
