A Friend of mine just passed away from Lung Issues due to C-19. I inherited a Taylor 914ce & a Martin OM-28 . Along with Some line 6 products . I think they are HX Effects along with an HX Stomp Along with line 6 Go Pro .? Think I have the right names .
This guy didn't have a dime to spit on. He'd been making payments for cremation & owes a small $500 balance . I'm not obligated to pay it but I did . Maybe I should sell the line 6 to cover costs .
He'd want me to for sure keep the Guitars . So what is the other stuff from Line 6. I'm pretty sure he was using them to play thru a PA at the Church he attended .
I personally own just a DRZ Cure . No pedals .
These boxes work with Powered Speakers is that right ? So I'd have to buy those to use these boxes with these guitars . Or can I use them with My Cure . While using My electrics as well?
I already asked these questions on another forum that has a Modeling Section . The one decent answer I got , Was or appeared to be just copied from a Modeling magazine . Players into these things seem to have different tastes then I do . Needs as well .
If someone has experience with this stuff . I'd really appreciate knowing if the stuff is worth keeping . Both the Acoustics have Pickups in them . But I don't see myself getting into all the Chorus , Swells and other ambient tones my friend used in Performing.
I'm not interested in Modeling at all .
I've been going to get some pedals . WOULD THIS SERVE THE SAME PURPOSE?

I've been using line6 multi effects for a while. But my unit is older. But at least I think it gives me a head start to help answer your question. I looked up each on the line6 website. I think they are the natural progression of the unit I have. Looks like the HX Effects is the supped-up version and the Stomp is the limited version. Both are multi effect units. (several effects on at once) Yes, these can both replace pedals. But if you have a certain pedal you really like, these line6 units may not sound like it. Looks like both units have effects loops, so you could run your own pedal(s) in the loop, or before/after the line6 unit. There can be a learning curve for how line6 menus, changes, programing is done. Once you get a basic working knowledge, you can start whipping through sounds and make your own custom patches.
You should be able to use them with your Cure. You would just skip the part(s) where it would ask you what amp you want, and what speaker cab you want. (just bypass them both) It's possible these units (especially the more limited stomp) might not have modeling in them....just effects.
And dang, I'm trying to buy a OM-28 at the moment.

The HX Effects is effects only, the stomp also has amp and speaker modeling. I use the HX Effects as my small effects board. The newest software includes oversampling, which makes it sound much better. No match for my analog board, but just right for practice and small stages.

I use a line 6 stomp for the effects. I bought a small midi foot switch which expanded the stomp to 6 independent effects. I love the small foot print and if I just need to go straight into a board I can. I have not used any of the modeling though. I hear it’s good but I’m covered with the amps I like to use. I say keep the stomp if anything. You can also add a foot pedal to control aspects of the effects you use.

I've got the HX Effects and mostly have used it for modulation and wah effects. It's a very capable unit, and though I'm not using mine right now I don't want to sell it. It's very useful.

The Line 6 HX effects are actually quite nice for modulation, reverb and delay/echo. It could very well wind up that it would be all you will ever need for those. They are that good. Note that they are modeled and not actual analog or even digital circuits. Modeling can do a VERY good job at that. I'm not nearly as fond of modeled ODs or distortion but you might be happy with them. Try them before you go down the rabbit hole of buying pedals. You have a LOT of capability in that product.

I agree with these comments as that has been my experience as well.
