Hey everyone, Its time to clean your pedal board cables!! This should really be done about once a quarter but spring ahead and fall back time of year are a good start to getting in the habit of cleaning your cables. A little preventitive maintenance will go along way in keeping you from gettin frustrated with noise, pops, hiss and no signal that can come from not keeping your pedal board cables clean. Why do I need to clean them?? Moisture in the air can oxidize your connectors, yes even gold connectors, dust and dirt can get on your gear too, please recall that you use your feet to turn your pedals on and off. Socks and shoes can collect dust and that get into places you don't want it to be. Also, don't forget your power cables that go from the power supply to the pedals. That is actually a place where you can get hiss in your signal path. Procedure and tools: Lint free cloth, electronics cleaner or ISO Alchohal and if you have them, a little brush Just unplugging and plugging everything back in is actually a big help. Unplug your pedal, spray some cleaner on your cloth and wipe down the end each cable. While the cable is in your hand, inspect it and look for any signs of failure or loose connections. Get the plug wet again and then insert it into the pedal a couple of times and then wipe it off again. If you have a small brush, put some cleaner on the brush and scrub the inside of jack on the pedal. DO NOT SPRAY CLEANER INSIDE YOUR PEDAL. Once this is done, repeat with each pedal and connection including your power supply cables. I think I am going to make a youtube video on this process. enjoy your clearer tone!! God bless, Todd
