Beautiful playing and perfect SG for the SG! Also recommend viewing Adam’s Dr. Z Maz 18nr II Cranked Demo. This is my new coffee and wake up video.

I think the maz is a pretty special amp. That clean tone to me has a ton of character. No real purpose to that video, I just thought it sounded cool so I posted it. I'd say for anyone who has one, try the amp at the extremes. Like put the master at 10, use the low input, and just bring up the gain as you would think a volume control on a master volume amp. That's kind of the sound at the beginning of that video. Or do the total 180 from that and put the gain on 10, the boost on 10, what the hell and put the master way high too (get those cool 6n114 or whatever they are tubes cooking), use the cut as your tone control... completely different and cool sound. That higher gain sound demonstrated on a couple other videos (maz cranked with the Leslie West/SRV thing and that Ratt solo). Seems like people compare it with other amps saying it has some Vox/Fender/Marshall all rolled into one, but nobody would that in reverse. It's its own thing, and extremely versatile, and all on basically one channel to boot. I think the one common denominator between that range of tones is they all have a LOT of character.

I don’t quite get this level of clean. I love what I get with my preamp and speaker combo, but my baseline is grittier.

I don’t quite get this level of clean. I love what I get with my preamp and speaker combo, but my baseline is grittier. I'm using the low input, gain really low, and I'm not hitting the guitar very hard. Would probably work well with a compressor clamping down loud playing too. I'm sure the amps are pretty much identical.
