I've been going back and forth between speakers with my CAZ-45, mainly the 2x12 G12H30/V30, a Vintage 30 alone, and an EVM12-L Thiele cab. Today I tried a speaker that I really had only used in my cleaner amps, the Z-12. I've got that speaker loaded in my Z-Lux combo and today I plugged in the CAZ on top of my Z-Lux, and what a great combination it is. With other speakers I've run with it, the CAZ has a different character. Hard to describe, but the Z-12 really makes it sound a little less compressed, a little more open, the high gain tone is really cool.
It's funny how sometimes you put a couple of things together that you'd think would clash and they match up so well. I'm changing my 1x12 Z cab over to the Z-12 speaker right now.

I’ll have to try that out! So far, I’ve only used the V30.
