my 6yr old Maz 18jr 2x10 combo is blowing fuses -
Replace the fuses - turn on standby - OK - turn on main - a little sound then the fuses blow....
I have replaced the power tubes with a set from my Garmen Ghia - same scenario -
Do I replace the rest of the tubes? is one of the other tubes more suspect than the rest?
Bought from the great folks at FatSound in Cary, NC

Just get a new Rectifier , 5AR4 / GZ-34. Also remember to check both the Main 2 Amp fuse and the HT 1/2 Amp fuse.

Hey Doc, my Maz has a slot for a 2 amp fuse and a 3/4 amp fuse in the back, rather than 1/2 amp. Haven't had any problems blowing fuses, but I like to keep spares around just in case. I can get 1/2 amp fuses easily locally but not 3/4 amp fuses. Based on your previous post, Maz Jr. runs ok with 1/2 amp fuse as well?

OK pulled out the 5AR4 - Electron Tube 5AR4 - Made in China - (no other label on tube)
Ordered a JJ tube from Tube Depot - I assume an acceptable replacement?
Thought I could pull the rectifier tube from my Ghia to see if it was the problem - unfortunetley it was a 5y3 -
New tube will arrive in 2 days
Also - as previous poster mentioned 3/4amp fuses are hard to find - not at Radio Shack or Lowes - have to try an electrical supply house....
