Is it normal to run the reverb at 3pm to get a decent reverb sound? Anything less just doesnt seem worth it. Thanks

Just depends on how much reverb you like. In a live setting you’d most likely settle for less. Doc has a tendency to dial amps in for live use and most don’t eq the reverb for deep caverns with a band. Again though, at home by myself yes, I kept it well above noon.

I run mine from about 10 - 1 at home. So that doesn't seem normal to me either.

A setting of 10 works well on the later Reverb units of the Lux. My earlier Z-Lux model was run higher on the Reverb spectrum, based on my experience anyways. Again, reverb settings can be subjective. Some guys like a little splash and other guys want the Grand Canyon.

Not having decent verb until 3 o'clock seems off. But I guess we all have our own version of what enough verb is. I like a little wetness, not surf.

Mine is one of the earlier ones as well that requires a NOS 6201. I do agree as mentioned above that reverb tastes can be very subjective so the original poster may just be used to a pretty splashy Fender type of reverb of which you're probably not going to get out of the ZLux.

When I had my Z-Lux, the 'verb wasn't as deep or splashy as a Fender or some Fender clones. I found I had to turn it up quite a bit and thought the EZG-50 had a much more "Fendery" reverb. I don't miss my Z-Lux, but really do miss my EZG-50.
