An artist that I really like has been doing Stageit shows lately. He's seemingly always on the road touring (but almost never near me), so I'd imagine this is his new lifeline during the pandemic. But considering that I missed my only chance to see him last summer--at a local festival-type multi-artist stage, at that--I'm trying to fit his Stageit performance into my schedule this evening.
Since it's "pay what you can," I have absolutely no idea what would seem a fair price to contribute for this 30-minute performance. (Especially since this would be my first experience, and I have no idea what to expect. And of course I'll have to sign up with an account, all that fun stuff, so they can keep marketing to me in the future.) Can anybody share what they've paid or what they've thought of the Stageit experience?

Stageit takes a 20% cut. plus fees.
Some of my friends have done Stageit but most have moved off to their own thing on FB or Insta or YouTube
The ones I have done have been hosted by other sites and they don't take a cut at all but I usually donate back to the host site.
I usually kick in ten bucks if I'm watching somebodies streamed show.
From my shows I see people kicking in anywhere from a couple bucks to $50 or more. For musicians with their calendars wiped clean it can be mighty welcome.
