Is it ok to swap out the tube rectifier for a solid state (Yellow Jacket)? I’m looking for a faster response and wanted to make sure it wouldn’t cause any damage to the amp.

A Weber Cooper cap is probably a safer bet as it will get voltages closer to spec while offering a little more speed. WY3 is the 5y3 equivalent I believe.
If you search copper cap on the forum you’ll find a few threads that reference them. Some amps Doc has OK’d for that, others he advised against. I want to say it was the 4xEL84 amps that are a no-no. But use the search function to double check that.
You could also try a faster rectifier like a 5V4 or GZ34, but again would want to check voltages to make sure you’re not cooking things prematurely. A few threads back in the Z wreck folder Doc said GZ34 would cook things pretty quick as I recall.

I had a Copper Cap when I had my Maz 38, and I bought it because BW used one with his 38 while on tour - ya don't need a failure while traveling!
