I purchased a Two Notes Captor X a couple of weeks ago and finally had time to mess around with it the past couple days. Wow this thing is killer.
The idea behind it is you can run your amp directly into it and the Captor X acts like an attenuator and a cabinet simulator. You can even run your amp into the Captor X and NOT have a physical cabinet connected for a totally silent solution.
The unit comes preloaded with a few of their cabinets. You can purchase more from their store. They have all kinds of cabs with popular speakers that we all know here on the forum. You can also load your own IR's if you like as well.
You connect to the Captor X from your phone, iPad or computer via USB. You can select which popular microphones to use on a cab. You can also move the mics around to get the perfect sound without having to worry about phase issues.
I connected my Z Wreck and played around with a Vox 2x12 with Silver Bell speakers that came with it. It sounded really good. I was able to blend the SM57 and R121 mics to get a great tone. I could adjust my amp real time and tweak it.
I bought the Captor X because I wanted something to allow me to bring my physical amps to a gig where we have to have a quiet stage. I usually run a Kemper with profiles of my Z amps but I wanted a new toy that would allow me to use my real amps sometimes as well. The Captor X does not disappoint.
What would be icing on the cake is to have the Dr Z cabinets be available in the Two Notes store.
Check out the Captor X. If you still like your tube amps but want to see what the digital world is all about, give it a try.

Sounds great. I have the Suhr Reactive Load IR. Very nice tools for quiet practice time.
