I watched this over the course of the day yesterday.
Now I understand the scuttle butt on Sandler's Oscar Buzz.
He deserved to be listed for an Oscar. He was fantastic and believable.
Good movie, but Sandler's performance was the Uncut Gem

It's amazing what one person sees as a good movie and another sees as a waste of time.
After watching it, I just felt annoyed.

It's amazing what one person sees as a good movie and another sees as a waste of time. After watching it, I just felt annoyed. I think the character was annoying, and the plot was irritating, but I was pleased to see Adam Sandler perform in a serious role and do well. Not that I'm a big Adam fan, just bored.

man, maybe its cause i quit drinkin a few years ago, but i just could NOT concentrate to absorb the basic characters and tenets of this film. i loved Sandler as the shoe cobbler though.

His acting was great, the chaos of the movie reflected the chaotic nature of the character, but it was not a movie I really liked.

It's amazing what one person sees as a good movie and another sees as a waste of time. Basically, this can be true for just about everything! lol
