Hey guys,
I'm looking to buy my first Z and this one intrigues me the most.
I'm mainly after a Paisley/Urban type amp but want to still be able to get Mayer-ish tones too. I know Paisley and Urban are primarily British amps (and sometimes tweeds...) but I have heard some British amps that pull off the Mayer thing rather well too.
Is this the right amp for me?
Thanks!

Welcome to THE forum!
I don't own the Wreck Jr. But I own the big Wreck. It NAILS brad's tone, especially if you play a Tele. There are a lot of players here who own both. My guess is that the Jr will also nail Brad's tone.

Welcome!
I don’t think the wreck (Or most British amps) will get you blackface tones. But If you want to cover a little of everything, go with the Maz 18. If you want to go all in Paisley, go Z Wreck Jr.

The Z Wreck Jr is a great British styled amp. You'll get that Voxey sound and a lot more. But, I just can't hear the Fendery John Mayer tone in it. Don't get me wrong, it will do GREAT blues sounds, just not scooped mids. The mids are very forward in this amp. As Jordan mentioned, you can get a lot out of a Maz Jr. It's very versatile.

I'm kind of ditching the Mayer idea for now. I've had my share of Fenders and want to shake this up.
Right now, I'm liking what I hear of the Z Wreck Jr. and DB4. I almost think I can cross the Paisley/Urban bridge with the DB4. The Maz hasn't really done it for me in demos and I'm surprised.
Thanks for all of the suggestions!
