was running the ZW Jr this a.m. with a Lester into a Wampler Velvet Fuzz and dang if it didn’t nail The Reverend Billy La Grange thing perfectly. I’m a big fan of the Velvet Drive—just the right blend of smooth compression and nasty gain—and the ZWJ just eats that stuff alive. Amp settings: Volume 1:30, B&T 11:00, MV 9:30, Cut, 8:00, any good distortion pedal set to moderate gain will get you in the La Grange zone from there.

yes it's pretty close. Just played along a bit, same settings with no pedal, into a Boss Waza TAE with a Celestion Greenback 2x12 IR. Real close tone wise ( but not my playing !!), little more lower mid/bass than the recording, with my guitar and hands.
