Hey, all! Just wanted to get some opinions on speakers you all may have tried. I'm currently rocking a Creamback M65. This is a darker, mid heavy speaker, so it can be a bit much with the Jetta's voicing, but thankfully the tone control is super powerful, so running it at 1-3 o'clock is a nice sweet spot. Part of me wants to replace the M65 with a Scumback G12H30 of some sort. Any opinions?

I'm wondering if anyone has tried a Cannabis Rex. They are supposed to be voiced very similar to the G12H, but are 2 lbs lighter, and maybe even more efficient (louder)?

Seriously, you can never really go wrong with any Scumback. (That being said, I've never played a Jetta, so I can't comment on whether the H75--the "G12H-30" surrogate--would necessarily be better than any of Jim's other speakers for that amp.)

I recently was looking to replace the Z-12 in my Z-Plus(which I did not do.) This led me to try all my amps with different speakers. I have tried the Jetta with 2 Z-12's (one in a LT cab and one in a studio cab), a 1x12 Red Fang cab, a 2x10 Eminence Legend alnico solid pine cab, a 1x15 Celestion Fullback solid pine cab, and a 2x12 Eminence GB128 cab.
To my ears the two best speakers were the Celestion H30 that came with the amp and the 2x12 cab.
Overall I liked the ceramic speakers better then the alnico but nothing really sounded bad with the amp.

Tonker Lite. A 4# speaker. Tried the Creamback neo but didn't like it. The Tonker lite has a touch more midrange than the stock G12H, but the weight reduction is GREAT!

Man, I forgot I started this!
So, I've gone through quite a few since posting this.
I've tried a Creamback M65, the 70th Ann. G12H30, Alnico Creams, EVM12L (really awesome) and as of yesterday, I have a new Stoneage 2x12 with 2 ASW KTS-60's.
The ASW KTS-60's are by FAR my favorite speaker with this amp.
They are huge sounding - tight lows, not at all boomy, a slightly scooped but still very strong mid range, and chimey highs without being at all harsh - very, very sweet sounding.
Honestly, I think these may be my favorite speaker of all time. I tried them with my Carr Sportsman, as well - just stellar.
