A few months back a bought a Jetta. I have a Z-plus which I absolutely love. The reason I bought a Jetta was for a grab and go w/ MV that I could take to rehearsals, home use, and for a back up amp for gigs. I really wanted a head but they weren't available at the time. Now we have the Wreck Jr. I'm considering selling the Jetta and getting a Wreck Jr head. I mainly keep my Plus on the clean side since I use pedals for dirt and don't really need an FX loop. Any thoughts?

Yep, do it! Can’t speak from Wreck Jr. experience, but the master volume Is a God-send for getting the coveted goods at a manageable volume. I’m getting the CAZ when released, but am very tempted by the Jr. Depending on how late in the year it gets before Doc releases the CAZ, I might just end up with one. These Jrs. are going to keep the shop very busy with production, so I’m thinking it will be later in the year. But Id get the combo.

Tough call--the ZW Jr's a great amp, but the Jetta's got to be the most versatile and best-sounding three-knob amp on the planet, and the price is likely to go up in a month or two. I haven't tried a Z-Plus, so my comment should be taken with a big ol' grain of salt, but I'd consider keeping the Jetta and selling the Z-Plus, which should get you closer to the price of the ZW Jr, anyway. YMMV, of course.

Selling the Jetta now will get you the least possible amount of cash. If you’re determined to sell it.....you might want to wait till a bit after the price increase. Then you might get what you paid for it. Having said that....it seems the Jetta fits your desires for wattage plus a master so you can play at home, rehearsals or clubs with variable loudness requirements.
A ZWreck jr. head seems like a nice addition to your growing collection. Add a Headswitcher and put it on top your Jetta for a great 1, 2 punch.

Not sure if it would excite the wife though. You make a great point about waiting for the price increase as I'm in no hurry.

Perhaps you can turn them all up if you hear complaints? (Posted only for levity- I recommend keeping the peace at home.)

Just buy it and keep em both! ... ... She will only make you sleep on the couch for a day or two!

Gotta Wreck Jr head on the way! You'll love the amp!! I play mine (combo) everyday and still after more than a month of having it, it still feels like the honeymoon!! I'm in Ohio so no gigs for now, can't wait to get it back out in the clubs live!!

But its a great opportunity to add new material to the set list. "The waiting is the hardest part"!

The JETTA is lighter, smaller and more powerful, yet sounds great at lower volumes. Just because it has an effects loop doesn't mean you have to use it.
