This came today. I can't begin to tell you all how excited I am. I need to find a good strap for it! This is Bill and Dave's fault! I heard Bill's 535 at the last Z-Fest and loved it and then Dave got one in January. I had to get it!

Congrats. I have a 535 and it is easily my desert island guitar. Heritage quality is great!

The picture is not catching the flame in the maple, but it has it!

The picture is not catching the flame in the maple, but it has it! I get that. I have it's doppelganger right down to the color and it's the same way with the flame. Mine's some kind of anniversary model but same guitar. They call it antique cherry. Yours has a prettier fretboard though, IMO. Mine is much lighter and kinda looks like a Rickenbacker board. Congrats!

I'm glad to have poured some gas on the flame, Russell...I don't know how they do it but those H-535 guitars are simply a cut above the rest. Mine was perfectly set up and even after I put .009 strings on it, the neck didn't need any adjustment. It had a little less relief but not much; it was and still is perfect. The nut is cut just right and polished to a T. It sounds fantastic.
So happy for ya, brother!

Congrats. My 535 is about 4 years old now and it made me love humbuckers again. Such a versatile guitar with so many tonal options. Have lotsa fun.

I heard Bill's 535 at the last Z-Fest and loved it and then Dave got one in January. I had to get it! That's a beauty Russell! I guess I'm partially to blame for this guitar. I sent Dave the listing of the Heritage guitars from CME and his came from those listings. Hopefully you got a good deal on it!

Almost two weeks in Russell, are you still honeymooning? I've had mine almost two months now and it's still dominating my play time. I just love this guitar. I know the pictures don't do it justice but through the translucent red you can see the flames in the maple. It must be gorgeous in person. The finish on my natural H-535 is so shiny and mirrorish that sometimes I look at it and think it's scratched when it's just a reflection in the lacquer. So are you still infatuated or has this turned into true love? I love mine...

It’s fabulous! It’s flawless!! It plays so well. My ES 339 is a little too dark for playing an amp that’s just starting to break up. This guitar is brighter and clearer than the Gibson. Not sure if that’s the electronics or something else.

I've often described my 535 as being "airey" sounding and I wonder if the slightly thinner (than a 335) body is making that difference.

I just found out that I will have two gigs this weekend. Friday and Saturday night. I'll get to stretch the wings of this guitar very well.

Nice! Great color! I had one a couple of decades ago and regrettably sold it. It's the one that got away. Fortunately, I sold it for what I paid for it.
