Loving the new amp. Really does what everybody says and I love the way my stratocaster sounds amazing through the amp. Purchased it mainly because I am a telecaster guy but I have to say that I love the sounds I am getting with my strat. Have to get used to it as I usually go for the Fender style blackface amp. I do like a little bit of reverb and my question to everyone is if you were to use a reverb pedal what pedal would you go with? Any suggestions Doc on a good reverb pedal to put into the front of the amp. I don't really have any reverb pedals as my other amps have reverb built in.
Any suggestions guys?

You might also want to look into a Z-Verb - doesn't get much better than that and it's only a couple hundred more than a good pedal. You can find deals out there if you are looking.

Doc, If I were to get a Z Verb where would you put it on a top panel amp? What would be the best way to set it up and have you tried one with the Jr? The Paisley demo of the original Wreck with the Z Verb sounds amazing.

I think the new Z Verbs are chassis down, tube up configuration now but I could be mistaken on that. I think the main thing is to try and keep the transformers away from each other as much as possible.
My Z-verb is the configuration with the tubes hanging down. I have it mounted in doc’s 1x10 cab. I set my amp heads on top of the cab and it works great.

BTW - this talk of a Z-verb made me want to play mine last night. I hooked it up to the Z-Master - a thing of a real beauty! I'd forgotten how good they sound together.

If I picked up an older model would I be able to put it on top of the Z Wreck Jr? I usually set my volumes and then don't touch the amp. I wasn't sure of that combination would cause problems with the older Z Verb setup. Better deals on the older models

You could try it out and see. If not, you could always set it on the floor beside the combo. If you are going to get the head, you could put the older style ZVerb under the head.
The ZVerb is awesome. Love mine. To me it is worth fooling around a bit with placement to get the reverb tank away from the transformers in the amp. Let us know how you make out!

On the floor for sure, should you ever need to kick it for proper effect !

Short of the Z-Verb, I've found that the "hidden" spring reverb in the el Capistan sounds pretty dang good with the ZW Jr, plus you get reverb and delay in one pedal. Also the Wampler Faux Spring Reverb mini is a good deal, or at an even cheaper price point, you can't go wrong with TC stuff--their mini HOF sounds just fine to my ear.

Just got an old style Z Verb that matches my Z Wreck Jr from a forum member. This thing is amazing. Will still need a small pedal if I play out but at home this combo is amazing. I have pics of the matching combo and Z Verb but can't figure out how to post a picture. Looks like it wants to try to follow a web link. Anybody know how to post a picture from your phone or computer without going to a website?

Congrats on the Z-Verb! They are great aren’t they?! To post a pic, you ha e to host the picture somewhere like photobucket and bring the link in that way. Not hard to do. In your photo hosting website, get the url for the picture and use the picture link in the response box. Insert the link there. At least that is how I remember doing it. It’s been a while...
