Do you run your Z-Lux at full or half power? Why?

Either/both, depending on the venue. That's really the determining factor. We don't typically mic the bass or guitar amps, so then the question is how far away is the back wall, how many dancers are on the floor soaking up those sound-waves, and what else is going on, performance-wise? Is it just me with the bass, drums and vocalist, or do we have seven or eight horn players on stage with us, honking away? That half/full power switch is a great feature, and really makes it much easier to fit the amp to the room.

Same here. I run half power until I get the Master Volume up to around noon, then I'll switch to full power.

I prefer full power, but will use 1/2 power in a small room.

Use half power at church with a brake lite. I get the mv to around 12 and my volume at around 9-10. Have been using my k line with P90s And it sounds pretty darn good. I can use this amp anywhere and get a great sound and feel. The sound is so enveloping.

The master is so good on the Luz that I typically stay on the 40 Watt setting. Both settings are great but I feel the 40 W has a little more mojo. There’s really not a bad setting on this amp!

For me, it depends on the venue. If at a more volume-sensitive venue like church, I run at half power and get the master around 2:00ish.
For not so volume sensitive venues, I usually run it at full power for louder CLEANS.
Either way, just an other-worldly amp. By comparison, all my other amps just sound thin. lol

Coming from a Z-28. the headroom on tap is what I think makes all the difference in feel, clarity, etc. to my ears it sounds good at all settings. It is hard to get a bad sound out of it. The surf green tolex on mine definitely imparts it’s character on my tone.
