Hi. After years of searching, I finally bought a Dr. Z 6545. It is everything I had hoped for and more. It came with a Dr. Z 3 x 10 cabinet that sounds awesome. I did a web search and was unable to find any information on the cabinet. I was wondering about the cabinet’s impedance. It has 3 Dr. Z speakers with blue labels, but the impedance was not marked. I’m using the 4 ohm output of the 6545 to be safe, since I’m assuming that if these are 16 ohm speakers, the impedance would be 16/3= 5.333. Are these cabinets rare? Thanks for any information.

Welcome to the forum!
That does seem to be a super rare cabinet--I, for one, have never heard of a stand-alone 3x10 cab (in any brand). Now, Doc has made some 3x10 combo amps in the past, and I wonder if somebody had modified an old combo cab into a stand-alone speaker cab?

Welcome to the Forum - a lot of great information and people here! Congrats on the 6545 - great sounding amp and one of Doc's few two channel amps. I also have never seen a 3x10 speaker cab for sale. I have a couple of 3x10 combos (the Bluesman and the Super Z) so it is possible that Doc either made a 3x10 cabs or, as Mark suggested, someone may have converted it from a combo to a speaker cab. Curious to see if Doc can shed some light on this one.

If I remember correctly, there was a 310 speaker cab on a scratch and dent sale many moons ago, think 8-10 years. It sat for a long time and then when I called about it, it had gone. I was told they were very tippy, because of the 310s. I don't think it was a combo cab, as I likely wouldn't have been interested in that, but I may remember things wrong.
