Hello, I'm a longtime user of the Jaz 20/40. The amp is everything I ever wanted. After many years of use I'm still after the best overdrive pedal for the Jaz. I'm playing mostly single coil guitars (Tele, Strat, Jazzmaster) and don't use picks just the fingers. I use the Hermida Zen Drive (too much HiFi Dumble tone I'm not looking for) and an old Plush Cream (nice but I have other amps the Plush Cream does a much better job). So I'm looking for an overdrive with a good crunch sound more on the rough side and of course nothing Marshall-like, which would make a good couple with the natural Jaz sound. Any suggestions welcome. Love and respect to the Z-community Walker

JHS Morning Glory or any other good Bluesbreaker type. Although the Bluesbreaker amp is a Marshall I never considered the pedal a MIAB OD. I played a Strat and Tele through one into many Fender BF/SF amps and a JAZ for a long time and was very happy. I see there is a Morning Glory on the BST.

Thanks. I've had a long overdrive shootout at the weekend with 25 boxes. Clear winner was the Analog.Man King Of Tone. Unfortunately this box is hard to get in Europe and too expensive on the used market. So I ended ordering the No.2 of the comparison, the T.Rex Moller. Time will tell if this will do the trick for my taste.

You should try a Barber Gain Changer with the JAZ
