I don't use an effects Loop ever. But there's one in my new Jetta and I used it with a BOING verb pedal at Saturdays gig . Something strange happened and I'm not sure what caused it. Midway through the last set all of a sudden there was an incredibly loud hissing sound coming out of an amp. It was the Reverb pedal I had plugged into the effects Loop, so I turned it off and the problem went away.
I thought maybe it was the brand new battery I put in the pedal dying. I would normally have it plugged into a power supply but for this gig I just threw a new battery in.
When I tried it again this morning, there was no problem.
Do you think that was caused by a weak battery?
It was most definitely not my phone as it was 10 feet away from the amp.

I don't think a battery , but you never know. I would guess cabling, and cable connection first.
Then possible interference from phone or RF, or other source at the club.
Hard to diagnose a problem that is no longer present the next day.

Hard to diagnose a problem that is no longer present the next day. Z Those are THE most frustrating kind of problems. I'm gigging it tonight and I'll try different patch cables.
