Hey everyone, I've been recently thinking about dressing up my cheap Samick Blonde Tele with some more interesting flair, and one of the things I want is a more flashy pick guard. Because the Samick specs are a bit different than most telecasters I think rather than buying something pre-made (and cutting it to fit) that I will just put something on the surface of my plain, black pick guard. I haven't settled on a design yet, but it will likely be something that uses the black as the backdrop (negative space) with a fairly bright color that pops against it.
Anyways, I figured it would be worth asking here for any suggestions on the best material (paint, laminate, laser-print etc.) and if there are any warnings y'all have from your own experience. If you know any companies or artists that you'd recommend, feel free to plug them.
PS- sorry I've been absent for such a long time. Played my first gig in ages last month and the Maz Jr (NR) reminded me why I love it so.
Cheers-- John/Uncle Eb

Check out pickguardian. They can make a pickguard that will fit pretty much anything. If you send them your old one or a tracing as a template it will be perfect. Known them for a bunch of years. www.pickguardian.com/
