BUY THIS AMP BEFORE Z COMES TO HIS SENSES AND RAISES THE PRICE It sounds killer. I was using a (Squier) Tele with low-output pickups and the amp stays mostly clean. I plugged in humbuckers and got great crunch. Comments about "it lets the guitar come through" are 100% accurate. Small changes in tone and volume knobs come right through. Lots of low end too. I can't wait to get it home and hit it with various pedals. (That's a few days away, although I think there's a Boss Metal Zone lying around here somewhere.)

Happy to hear your review Mike. Z Thanks, Z. I'll post more as I get to spend more time with it. Likely will haul it to the next gig...why not?

Likely will haul it to the next gig...why not? Isn’t that the whole idea behind buying these great amps in the first place? 😉 I know we all can’t get out and play for many reasons and having one for ‘home’ use is an acceptable option!! ME

I'm talking with my local dealer (they tell me there are several on order to their head office) and am really close to jumping on one! This review is only fueling the GAS!

When you get a chance I would love to hear some Jetta vs Z-plus thoughts. Me too. I'll be doing a comparison fairly soon as I prep for a gig and decide which amp to use. That said, I have a bit of history of taking the newest amp to a gig to test how it holds up under pressure and fits in with the band mix.

Yeah, Long & McQuade had some chassis in the pics on Z's Instagram feed last week. Lol, I noticed this morning that one of the dealers on Reverb had Jetta S/N #1 and they were selling for $1,499! I guess they are hoping someone pays the premium for #1

Sweet, congrats Mike on the new amp! I got to play it a little bit at Mike's Mini Z-Fest last month and it is a lot of fun. Great sounding amp, and I didn't spend enough time with it as I'd have liked. I was playing with one of the fellas from the Heritage forum and he was plugged into the Jetta. I was in the Cure and they sounded GREAT together.

Congrats Mike. I'll be following this thread to hear your Jetta / Z plus comparison. I'm thinking about getting a new amp in a few months for Christmas. The Jetta is definitely in the running!

I've got one coming tomorrow!! I'm also hosting a jam night and I plan to take it and try it out. Any Cleveland area members interested in hearing it stop by the Sand Trap in N. Royalton on Tuesday October 15th.

Mike, what about this Jetta straight in, Tele, no pedals? Jacked the way you know I like ‘em with plenty of smooth tube distortion available via the guitar volume knob? Also what about home really quiet volume with plenty o’ that tube distortion? What say you?
jj
do i need one? that is the question.

Yes, you take a new amp, even if you feel the need to take both the Z Plus and the Jetta side by side for a super fun and geeky A-B back and forth thang!!! How much fun is that? 🤓 jj
