I love my Z28 but typically run the bass knob all the way off when I'm on my neck pickup and kind of miss the gain I can get by turning the bass to 10 o clock when using my bridge pick up. The z28 has a perfect volume in a band setting but would love to turn it down for quieter gigs and apartment use while retaining my killer tone. Don't really have a need for an effects loop. Don't really want to ship so I was wondering if I could get a Mk ii upgrade kit minus the effects loop to hand over to my amp tech. Is this an option?

Highly doubt he makes kits - I've been here 10 years and haven't seen one yet. No harm in asking though. What about a brake light?

I’ve used a Brakelite on my Z28 for a good while and it does a fine job. I’m quite interested in MkII upgrade, however, and will be seriously considering that when the time comes.

I kind of doubt that a retro-fit kit will be offered by Doc but I do recall that somebody around here installed an "aftermarket" master-volume kit on their Route 66 and it turned out fairly well. (I cannot remember what brand, but it was a standardized master-volume mod/kit from one of the bigger names in boutique amps. Sorry, wish I remember the specifics.) EDIT: found it... ztalk.proboards.com/post/562452/thread

I'm preparing for the Sweetwater gear fest June 21st. So it won't be till after that, mid to late summer I would guess. I will let you all know when to request RA forms. Z” I think Labor Day was the last day of Summer so we’re most likely getting really close for the mkii release/upgrade. I’m gonna pull the Z factory box out of storage in the next couple weeks to get it ready to ship out.
