I love my Z28 but typically run the bass knob all the way off when I'm on my neck pickup and kind of miss the gain I can get by turning the bass to 10 o clock when using my bridge pick up. The z28 has a perfect volume in a band setting but would love to turn it down for quieter gigs and apartment use while retaining my killer tone. Don't really have a need for an effects loop. Don't really want to ship so I was wondering if I could get a Mk ii upgrade kit minus the effects loop to hand over to my amp tech. Is this an option?

I kind of doubt that a retro-fit kit will be offered by Doc but I do recall that somebody around here installed an "aftermarket" master-volume kit on their Route 66 and it turned out fairly well. (I cannot remember what brand, but it was a standardized master-volume mod/kit from one of the bigger names in boutique amps. Sorry, wish I remember the specifics.)
I’ve used a Brakelite on my Z28 for a good while and it does a fine job. I’m quite interested in MkII upgrade, however, and will be seriously considering that when the time comes.
“The Z 28 has always been my favorite amp, glad to bring it back after 18 months hiatus. I'm preparing for the Sweetwater gear fest June 21st. So it won't be till after that, mid to late summer I would guess. I will let you all know when to request RA forms.
I think Labor Day was the last day of Summer so we’re most likely getting really close for the mkii release/upgrade. I’m gonna pull the Z factory box out of storage in the next couple weeks to get it ready to ship out.
roscoenyc: You know in school when they talked about "your permanent record"? Well, this is it! Learn to spell! Don't be stupid!

GuitarZ: Needed some noise to fill a break in a tune I'm recording. It was too quiet. Just happened to have some High Quality Dr Z Ghia noise to fill the void. "Heal Your Sound with Dr Z! It's not just a guitar tone prescription!"

GuitarZ: Must be great to be a skunk. Eating bird food about 10' from our sun room. I'm clapping and yelling. At best, it might have given me one "yea what?" look while continuing to dine. At one point, there were two skunks and two racoons.

easyed: Guitar Z, I encountered to ultimate garbage raiding combo once. We'd been having problems with the garbage cans being raided by raccoons for weeks. Late in the evening I heard rattling at the cans. I went out and found that he'd allied with a skunk. "OK"

GuitarZ: EasyEd - Someone at work topped us both. The inside of their car had been somewhat ransacked. They were blaming their son. They checked the video. It was a Bear! I'll stick with the racoons, skunks, foxes, and squirrels.

bigboki: In this age and time when everybody are struggling and especially S&Ms I am amazed to see that kind of ignorance. I am really sorry for your experience dear Dr Z but it is for the better. You don't want to do business with those kind of people anyway.

GuitarZ: Didn't want to restart the plumbing thread, so I figured I'd ShoutBox this. How the heck does cleaning the aerator on a faucet cause a leak to start under the faucet? Huh? Arggggh!!!!

The Bad Poodle Experience: well, Mike, it shouldn't have been the cause of a leak. double-check your work.

GuitarZ: I updated in the Plumbing thread that the Moen website says that a faulty aerator can cause a handle/base leak. Eiyy! I really don't understand how plumbing works. I was ready to double check all connections. But, the leaking stopped with cleaned Aerator.
