So I see that Yamaha purchased Line 6, and most of the demo's the fabulous players are using Yamaha Revstar Guitars. They look very cool! Appears they're all made in Japan (which is good IMO!) and that they're modeled after their old Yamaha "Café Racer" Motorcycles. Some are even hand brushed with steel wool for a cool appearance.
First question is I counted TWELVE models of the Revstar… I looked at the specs and honestly my eyes got crossed... Secondly nowhere in the specs does it list the weight of the guitars.
I'm curious if anyone has been out and about and tried one, if so, how did you like it, and how was the weight?

So I figured it out... The higher the first number of the model number is the next iteration or change in higher quality specs. I was wrong, all models except for the Yamaha Revstar RSP20CR are made in Indonesia. Skeptical because I had a PRS SE once and parted ways because it's build and feel was inferior to my AM made Lester, Tele & Strat, and didn't compare to PRS USA.
There is a huge price difference between the highest grade Made in IND.. vs RSP20CR. The highest IND price is about $1K (new) and the "Made in Japan - RSP20 CR) is $1700......
Like anything else, go to the store, try'm and if you like.. buy... If you don't like... don't buy. Cool looking none the less.
Here is John Bohlinger demo'ing the RSP20CR ($1700) model:

I've been keeping my eye on them as I find them to be pretty interesting. There's quite a range from the entry level to the top of the line. I haven't had the chance to play one.

I have one...620 and its a sweet axe...Mine under 8 lbs and plays comfortable as heck...scale is longer than paul maybe not prs so much...you get a lot of of the upper line in the 620 after reading scads of reviews...I was ready to go to higher end,but meh...im sure the pickups are more refined but the guitar plays really very nice...im running ghs true mediums 11-50 on it and tonefull...the steel wool brushed top is different...Yamaha knows how to make a sweet axe and the build is par with prs se line...this did replace an s2 22/prs I didn't bond with and its more in my wheelhouse fwiw.
