They had one in a local shop and I plugged in a LP through a Z 2x12. Sounded huge and LOUD! I was really digging it.
My question is - does anyone use the CG as a pedal platform? I’m sure others Zs are better suited for it, but I really liked the simplicity and size and tone. Price ain’t too bad either!

I never had an issue with any pedals I used with the Ghia(or any other Z.) Although Z-28 and Rt 66 do seem to suck in the pedals like they are part of the amp.

I've owned a trio of Ghias, and I found them to be relatively fussy with pedals--at least, they seemed so compared to the Maz 18, or the Z-28, or the M-12, or the Z-Lux, etc. Some they bonded with, some they didn't like much at all. But if you're willing to do a little trial and error I'm sure you can find a setup that works.

The M-12 was designed as a pedal platform - and you can pick one up for not much more than a Ghia. Not too many more knobs on the M-12 (Bass, Treble, and Volume). There's a combo on Reverb right now for $940 including shipping.

I used a 1-10 Ghia for years with a BUNCH of different pedals live (8pc horn band) and never had an issue. Used it as a clean platform. Mine had a Red Fang speaker. Great amp!

Very versatile, workhorse amp. They always seem to sound great no matter what I throw at them.
