Took the plunge on my first Ghia, a red 2x10 combo with a brake light. I haven't had a chance to demo a Ghia but played a used Mazerati at GC and thought the little brother might be perfect. It's not my first Z as I had an M12 for a while. That was a great amp but I was looking for something with a little more personality. I was looking at a Maz 18 but just couldn't pass up on this one. Should be here by the end of the week.

I think you're really gonna like the Ghia - It's a whole lot of fun!

The 2x10 Ghia combo, in red, was my first Z. That Ghia wound up in a head and really became a personal tone. Loved the Ghia....great amp....gets you focused back on playing, using the guitar knobs, hearing different speakers, guitars, pedals, and your playing MUCH more clearly. As a first Z, I was shocked how different it felt to me from my Peavey Classic 30, Divided by 13 SJT, Swart STR.....the Z had a sound of its own.
Now I realize Dr Z has a sound all his own...it’s in every amp he makes that I’ve tried. But the Ghia is easily one of my favorites.

Congrats on the new Ghia Just remember, there isn't a treble/cut knob, so if your ears think it's too bright, you'll have to use the guitar's tone knob....that thing next to the volume knob we guitar players never touch.

I never fail to be amazed at the variety of tone that two knobs can provide. It's a great amp and congratulations for making a great first Z choice!

Well, it arrived and it sounds really good. Very punchy and can get down right nasty. It has that Z sound but is more lively than my M12 was. Only complaint is a bit of tube rattle when cranked, but I have had that happen in most combos.

You might try some tube dampener rings on the output tubes. It's a amazing amp, and has a lot of personalities depending on which tubes and speakers you load it up with. Enjoy!
