I'm looking for a multi-effect modulation pedal that isn't a Strymon Mobius or a Line 6 whatever. Something easy to use that sounds good and won't cost a fortune or take up my entire pedalboard, and the MD 500 seems like it might fit the bill. Anybody tried/own it?

This sounds really good, incredible in a small footprint like this. I think I've found a new chorus pedal, thanks Eric!

I really love all the Mad Professor stuff.

I have the MD-500 and I've had it about 6 months now? I'm still learning what it can do. You've got to have a little patience with it and be willing to use the software editor on a computer to get the best of it when setting up sounds, but I absolutely love this unit.

I ended up buying one--sounded great out of the box--the new pedal honeymoon phase--but I've been listening a little more critically and I'm not as sure now. Might have to go back to my TC phaser and octave pedals. Pedals that are super tweaky drive me a little crazy.

Might have to go back to my TC phaser and octave pedals. Pedals that are super tweaky drive me a little crazy. I can totally understand that! I'm not a big phaser user so I'm no help there but I've been using the octave a lot for a hammond organ style patch that I use. Don't get too drawn up into all of the dodads inside there! Pick the few parameters that mean the most and tweak them. Most of the stuff that matters can be tweaked right on top without diving in too deep.
