Any Mojo Hand Rook (Royale) users? HOw'd you you describe the nature of it's tone - any TS nature in it? Similar to Earthquaker Dunes / Palisades or some other pedals? I used to have Dunes but it didn't work with my rig...
Actually I've tried it once but not with amps (Z-Lux & Vox AC 15 Handwired) but can't remember it so exact.
The Tone Report's review on The Rook Royale claims the boost of it really makes the pedal come alive. Would you agree on that too?

I haven't used the Rook Royale, but I had an Odessa overdrive for a little while and the reason i sold it was because the Rook side couldn't do what i needed it to do. I loved the Magpie side and used that as my main overdrive, specifically in the BB mode (toggle down) and then wanted to use the Rook as more of a TS clean boost (gain down, volume up). The problem i ran into is that the pedal gets darker the lower the overdrive knob is and the tone knob couldn't compensate enough for how much high end would be rolled off with the gain down. The medium gain tones from the Rook were awesome though. Just like an aggressive TS with more body, but strictly as a low gainer or clean boost, it couldn't do it for me. So i ended up selling the Odessa and bought a stand single Magpie pedal, which i'm reluctantly selling.
