I am pretty excited, yesterday I went into a new music here in town and today I walked out with a new Ghia 12" combo. Its got an N serial number, green jewel light, Weber Alnico Blue Dog and just sounds great. Previously I had a Ghia head and one of the older narrow Dr Z 2x10 cabs. I ended up selling it because i was not playing it much at the time and sort of wanted a combo. I always kind of regretted that and kept an eye out for another one locally. I was thinking I would have to buy online since they don't really come up here in Portland. Then yesterday i walked into a new shop, Strum, and sitting right there was a used Ghia for sale. I sat and played it for a while, then went back today with my Baja tele to play it some more and bought it. I knew this place was cool because I saw some old tweed amps in the window and they also serve micro brew beer, and but I didnt expect to walk in and find the amp I was looking for. What good luck. I'm keeping this one for life.

And I’ll bet that Weber AlNiCo Blue sounds beautiful in that amp as well.

Those days where you come across something you've been thinking of are so cool. Congrats on the CG, and welcome to the forum. It's the best lil' corner of the WWW.

Thanks everyone! Yea it is just great with that speaker. I thought it might be to bright with the alnico blue based on what I have heard with the Celestion Blue but its not. With the volume at 9 its perfect for mellow fingerpicking on my Tele. Ill probably get an attenuator at some point so I can crank it a bit at home.

A music store that also sells alcohol? What an ingenious sales tactic. Well welcome aboard and congrats on the wonderful Ghia! It’s a beautiful amp!

Congrats! Great sounding amp! That N serial number would make it a 2003 build.

A music store that serves microbrew.....I would have a hard time leaving that place. Great find all the way around!

Hard to find a bad sound in the Ghia. Love mine. Enjoy the combo and may it bring you years of tonal bliss!
