Wow Alan, the CITES regs may have done you a favor-that's spectacular!
The older I get, the more irrelevant neck pickups on a Tele seem to be anyway. They all sound muddy to me, so I'm slowly Esquire-izing most of mine.
Just curious: does your new one have a modern nut width and fretboard radius?

Are those SS frets? Man, they look like little mirrors.

They all sound muddy to me, so I'm slowly Esquire-izing most of mine. Just curious: does your new one have a modern nut width and fretboard radius? Thanks, Fasteddie. Yep, I reckon CITES has done me a favour too, and I rarely use the neck pickup on any guitar. As for the nut width... not sure, but fretboard radius is 10", neck is a really comfortable C shape. Spec: Nash Guitars E-52 in Butterscotch Blonde with 1-ply Black pickguard. Classic combination of ash body and medium C profile maple neck. This Nash E-52 has light aging and is equipped with a Lollar pickup and compensated brass saddles. 10" fretboard radius with 6105 fret wire makes for easy playability. This Nash E-52 rings great acoustically and just flat out looks cool! Tough to beat an Esquire!
Body: Ash Color: Butterscotch Blonde Neck: C Shape Maple Pickups: Lollar Aging Level: Light Pickguard: 1 ply Black Weight: 6 lbs 14 oz Nash Teardrop Case Included

After you "bought" the first tele, I went to Riot's website and saw this very Esq..... I really thought about biting on it, but got distracted I guess..... Lucky you, Milky...I too think Cites did you a big favor! DIG!!!!

I'm hearing the distant sounds of someone peeling off Jeff Beck / Yardbirds riffs.

Milky, that's so cool. Your wonderful Sharon sounds just like my sweet late Sue did. A week after I bought my Therapy and matching 1x12 cab, she saw me looking at a Mini-Z on CL. She said, "That's cute! Why don't you buy it?" A great wife can't be understated, ever. Congrats on a SWEET looking Nash. I bet it plays like buttah!

Thanks, Dave. Yes, Sharon has always been very supportive of my gear addiction too. Fortunately we are reasonably well off in our retirement (not rich!!), but as long as we can afford a couple vacations every year, have enough for house and car expenses and can help out our kids when necessary, then it's all good. Having said that, I really have to thin out the herd. I have a couple non-Z amps and about six guitars (out of a total of fourteen!!) that never see the light of day that I really should sell on. And yes, the Nash is SWEET, and plays like 'buttah'!!
