As some of you know, I’m a new Zwreck combo owner and the amp is simply amazing. That is, until I used it in a metal building. The room does have spray in insulation but I’m not sure it matters when dealing with sound.
I had the back of my Wreck about 12” from a wall facing out, toward the other musicians, and could only get high end treble. I even cranked the bass all the way up but it was as if the bass knob wasn’t working at all. Horrible sound to say the least.
When I got my amp home I checked it and once again, it sounded amazing. I’m guessing that I need to get the amp away from the wall for next time.
I’m just glad that I didn’t use this building to judge my Wreck when I first turned it on.

You could also try getting a moving blanket (Home Depot or Lowes) and draping it over the back of the combo - the combo vents on top so the tubes/chassis are open for ventilation.
Metal rooms just suck for acoustics - up there with gymnasiums.

Might be getting some reflective frequency cancellation if the sound is bouncing around off the walls.
Try setting the amp facing in different directions and see if that helps.

You may have to lay the amp on it's back and face it up to the roof.
I would put a moving blanket down and then you have to prop up the amp for ventilation.
Sounds funny but it has been tried and proven by many including Springsteen and John Fogerty.

In the past, I have constructed a corner half wall amp lean-to for this very problem. It meant that my amp always sounded good (and consistent) wherever I played- and I was able to hear it.

I saw Phil Keaggy a couple of years ago, he was having a problem with him amp during sound check, he took of his jacket and threw it over his amp and cleared up the problem!
They must have found another solution because the jacket was gone when the show started

I was going to suggest leaning the amp back about 45 degrees. It does sound like you have some phase cancellation going on like Todd said.
